Who am I?
My name is Sam Rogers, and I’m a Ph.D. candidate (Biblical Studies) at the University of Manchester.
I’m interested in most things New Testament and Luke-Acts. I’m interested in the social history of the NT authors and audiences, particularly socio-economic status and cultic language and/or presuppositions. My dissertation seeks to demonstrate that socio-economic readings of Luke’s parables sheds light on his intentions and his audience’s readings.
